Boone, Esq., is an Airline Transport Pilot and trial lawyer who has
been involved in aviation crash investigation and litigation since
1975. He has participated in over 100 crash investigations including
the landmark windshear crash case of Delta Flight 191 in Dallas, Texas;
the Brunswick Georgia crash which killed United States Senator John
Tower and his daughter; the crash of the Fairchild SA 227 in Tri-Cities
Tennessee, which killed NASCAR rookie of the year Alan Kulwicki and the
son of Hooters of America owner, Marc Brooks; the crash of a Bombardier
Challenger in Birmingham, England due to wing contamination; the crash
of a Piper Cherokee due to Air Traffic Control errors and wake
turbulence from a passing Sikorsky S76 Helicopter; the crash of a
Turkish operated Boeing 757 in the Caribbean Sea due to pitot static
system blockage; and a many others.
David has over 10,000 flying hours, has owned an interest in 29 different aircraft and presently flies a single-pilot Cessna Citation corporate jet. In addition, he is commercially and instrument rated in single-engine and multi-engine land aircraft and rated in single-engine sea aircraft. A major focus in Davids life has been trying to figure out why catastrophic events happen and working to hold those responsible for accidents and injuries accountable in order to produce a change in procedures or policies and provide greater measures of safety.
